Artist Opportunities
Volcano Art Center strives to effectively develop and promote our local established and emerging artists. Through our classes and workshops, we provide a host of professional, creative and artistic development opportunities for artists to both share and continue exploring and honing their talent and skills. We also offer opportunities for artists of all mediums to teach, perform, demonstrate, and share themselves and their creative souls with others.

Volcano Art Center Gallery
Volcano Art Center provides ongoing opportunities for visual artists in all media to sell their work on consignment in the Volcano Art Center Gallery. VAC Gallery, located within the former Volcano House Hotel built in 1877, is open year-round, seven days a week (except Christmas Day). It is operated under a Cooperative Agreement with the National Park Service, as an enhancement to the interpretive programs of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park (HVNP). All artists showing work in our gallery are required to be current members. For more information on our consigning your art work with us, click here.
Volcano Art Center Gallery schedules 5-6 exhibitions each year, not including our Annual Invitational Wreath Exhibit during the holiday season, providing opportunities for visual artists in all media to exhibit their work in Volcano Art Center Gallery. Our gallery's dedicated exhibit room contains 240 square feet of space, and is appropriate for special exhibitions by a group as well as solo exhibits. Exhibits in this space generally run for 6 weeks. Click here for exhibit guidelines and information on submitting an exhibit proposal.
Volcano Art Center Gallery enjoys having our artists demonstrate their craft and talents on the porch of the historic 1877 Volcano House Hotel.
