Experience Aloha in Action

Throughout the year, Volcano Art Center plans, promotes and holds community, fund raising, cultural and special events.  Our staff relies on volunteers and other community supporters to continously improve upon these events each year.

Love the Arts Fundraising Gala

Now in its eighth year, Volcano Art Center's signature fund raising event and annual gala is sure to delight you with an evening of lively entertainment, delectable edibles, and live and silent auctions.

Rain Forest Runs

This race event is at 4,000 feet elevation and traverses the majestic native rain forest in quaint Volcano Village and the ranches near Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. All distances will be open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, participating for health, enjoyment, and to raise funds for the non-profit Volcano Art Center.

Art Market

VAC's Art Markets began in the fall of 2010 by committed board members wishing to identify and promote new or emerging local artists, who may or may not be represented in our gallery. After two successful art markets, we're planning our third for September 17-18, 2011. Interested in showing your art work? Download an artist application ! We're also seeking food vendors; click here for a vendor application. Christmas in the Country: VAC's Members' Appreciation Holiday Event

Christmas in the Country is one of Volcano Art Center's signature events, with champagne, shopping and a catered, gourmet spread... not to mention the opening of our Annual Wreath Exhibit, local artist book and print signings, and giveaways for the lucky and present. Christmas in the Country 2011 is set for our Members' Appreciation Holiday Event on Friday, November 18.
