Rain Forest Runs
TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Rain Forest Runs take place just outside Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park within the Puna and Ka'u districts of the Big Island of Hawai'i. All events start and end at Cooper Center on Wright Road in Volcano Village, located on Highway 11, approximately 30 miles south of Hilo (about a 45 minute drive) and 100 miles south of Kailua-Kona (about a 2 1/2 hour drive).

Quaint, friendly Volcano Village is the closest town to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. In the village, you will find a visitors center, restaurants, general stores, gas stations, post office, ATMs, and popular Sunday morning Farmers Market. Accommodations are available in and around Volcano Village and nearby Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.

Hawaiian Airlines offers daily interisland flights between the major Hawaiian islands and both Hilo and Kailua-Kona. They also offer daily flights between Honolulu and selected West Coast locations. Go! Airlines, Island Air, and Pacific Wings Airlines also offer local flight service.

The Big Island Visitors Bureau, Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau and Hawai'i Island Chamber of Commerce are good sources of information about the Big Island and planning your stay in the land of aloha.
