Special Events READINGS & LITERARY EVENTS
From book signings and author appearances to writer's panels and lectures on a variety of topics, the Volcano Art Center celebrates the written and oral word. Past literary events include: Honolulu's Cathy Song giving a reading of her award-winning poetry; National Public Radio book reviewer Alan Cheuse reading from his latest novel; and 2004-2006 U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser of Nebraska reading his highly acclaimed poems. We invite you to join us on these periodic journeys into the lives, minds, and hearts of our guest authors and speakers.
