ORDER TICKETS ONLINE


When you order tickets online, Volcano Art Center HOLDS them for you until the event (tickets are NOT mailed). Tickets for events at the Kilauea Military Camp Theater will be held at the theater box office, and are available for pick-up one hour prior to show time, on the same day as the show only. The theater opens one half hour before curtain, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for events at other locations will be held at the event check-in table. Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets at our member discount if they are purchased as a block by one person (discounted rate will appear in shopping cart).

Please note that all ticket sales are final. Sorry, no refunds, credits, or exchanges. Let us know in advance if you have any special needs, such as wheelchair seating, so we can accommodate those needs. If you have any questions, please e-mail or phone us at (808) 967-8222. VOLCANO POETRY SLAM

This high-energy, audience-judged poetry competition is open to the public, both as audience members and participating poets. First time and returning poets with new material are welcome. Up to 15 poets can compete, with poets chosen by lottery that evening at 7 p.m. sharp. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 finalists. Five judges are chosen from volunteer audience members. Rules for poets: 1) bring 2 poems of your own construction (though not everyone gets to round two), 2) make sure each poem is no longer than 3 minutes performed (if you go over, points are deducted from your score), and 3) poems can be read or memorized, but no props please. Volcano Art Center's Niaulani Campus, 19-4074 Old Volcano Rd. in Volcano Village.

        

The Galliard String Quartet

Sunday, November 14 at 4:00 p.m.

The Galliard String Quartet, considered Hawaii’s premier string quartet, performs programs including the works of composers such as Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. The GSQ musicians are all members of the Honolulu Symphony. "Music of the Masters" is the GSQ's forte, but their repertoire also includes Strauss waltzes, romantic interludes, light classics, Hawaiian music, popular music and more. Kilauea Military Theater in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. Student tickets available for $10.00 with valid school I.D. at Volcano Art Center's Niaulani campus. The Honolulu Brass is the premier brass quintet in the state of Hawaii. All members of the HBQ are members of the Honolulu Symphony. The group performs a wide repertoire in various venues throughout the state. The HBQ will be coming to Volcano to celebrate the Christmas season with an incredible brass concert. The program is still being created and will be announced soon. As very special guest The Kona Brass will open the Christmas Concert.

The Spring Wind Quintet, recognized as one of the country’s leading woodwind quintets, has been a major force in the development of chamber music in Hawaii. All members of the SWQ are members of the Honolulu Symphony. Many new works have been composed and arranged especially for the Spring Wind Quintet. The group has an extensive and varied repertoire earning several national grants and offers educational programs for all ages. The SWQ will be performing the following program: Georges Onslow – Quintet, Op. 81 Jon Magnussen – World Premiere commissioned by Chamber Music Hawaii
