The Volcano Art Center can custom design an educational program or learning adventure to suit your group, be it school children, university students, adults, or even a family or class reunion. We offer programs which focus on a specific location, such as Kilauea Volcano or East Hawai'i; a specific area of interest, such as Hawaiian arts and culture or astronomy; or a broad array of locations and topics. It's up to you.CUSTOM PROGRAMS FOR GROUPS  Our trained, knowledgeable staff has experience in a wide range of areas, from the geology of Hawaiian volcanoes and rainforest ecology and botany to the cultures and history of the Big Island and traditional hula and chants. We also rely on the talents of local artists, scientists, performers, historians, park rangers, storytellers, guides, and more to supplement our programs. From half-day tours to weeklong stays, we can plan a package to include transportation, accommodations, meals, field trips, hikes, demonstrations, entertainment, workshops, lectures, and whatever else you have in mind. Examples of past custom programs include tours of visual artists' studios in the Volcano area; interpretive nature walks or service learning projects in the restored rainforest at our Niaulani Campus; exploration of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park through a series of guided hikes; journeying to natural and cultural sites around the Big Island; and much more.
