THINGS HAWAIIAN

For over a thousand years, Kilauea Volcano has been an artistic and spiritual resource for Hawai'i's artists and people. Under the Na Mea Hawai'i Program, the Volcano Art Center helps continue this tradition. We offer classes and workshops in various aspects of Hawaiian culture, which have included Hawaiian language, hula, lei making and feather work, ipu crafting, 'ukelele, the history of Polynesian tattoo design, and astronomy and navigation.
