HOW TO FIND US The Volcano Art Center Gallery and Volcano Art Center's Niaulani Campus are located on the Big Island of Hawai'i, at the summit of Kilauea in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The National Park is located on Highway 11, approximately 30 miles south of Hilo (about a 45 minute drive) and 100 miles south of Kailua-Kona (about a 2 1/2 hour drive).The Volcano Art Center Gallery, housed in the historic 1877 Volcano House Hotel, is adjacent to the Kilauea Visitors Center, just past the Park's entrance booths. Gallery parking is available in front of the Visitors Center. VAC presents traditional hula performances at the pa hula next to the Gallery, and concerts and performances at the Kilauea Military Camp Theater in Kilauea Military Camp (approximately one mile past the Park Visitors Center). Classes, workshops, and a variety of events are held at Volcano Art Center's Niaulani Campus, 19-4074 Old Volcano Highway (at the corner of Kalanikoa) in the quaint, friendly Volcano Village. Located just a mile from the National Park entrance, Volcano Village hosts a visitors center, accommodations, restaurants and businesses (including general stores, gas stations, post office, a laundromat, ATMs, etc.), plus the popular Sunday morning Farmers Market.
