Classes & Workshops VISUAL ARTS & CRAFTS
On the Big Island of Hawai'i, history, culture, and the natural world blend perfectly with contemporary arts and crafts. Volcano Art Center's diverse visual arts programs offer visitors and kama'aina the opportunity to enjoy the aesthetic, spiritual, and natural beauty of the unique volcanic country of Kilauea through the creative arts. Drawing on both local and visiting artists, our talented instructors are all inspired by the 'aina ...from glass blowers drawn to the fiery home of Pele and the volcano's natural furnace to painters trying to capture the vibrant hues of lehua blossoms or the ropy texture of pahoehoe lava.
