Connie Haskell

Connie Haskell currently works from home running an e-commerce vintage and handmade art business, and does her best to keep up with ten mo‘opuna (grandkids). Having the good fortune of growing up in beautiful Kaneohe on the Windward side of Oahu and spending all of her summers between Hilo, Laupahoehoe and Waimea, she now resides in Mountain View, Puna, Hawaii.  Raised in a family of composers, musicians, painters, writers, and community organizers, (as well as fantastic cooks), Connie believes that her passion for art and creativity, people and community are a direct result of this strong family influence. Educational background includes the Hawaii Public School system, St. Andrews Priory and Kamehameha Schools, followed by Honolulu Community College and University of Hawaii at Hilo. Connie has decades of work experience in nonprofit organizations, including direct oversight and management of a five year, ten building construction project. She is the founder and coordinator of Christmas in the Ko`olaus annual arts and crafts event that supports youth at risk, chaired the steering committee of I Love Kane`ohe, and volunteers with many local organizations and groups (she got ten mo`opuna!). Connie is on the events committee, is co-chair of the Love the Arts 2012 event committee and leads VAC's social networking team.
