Mike Miyahira is the owner of Business Strategies, a consulting company focused on family owned and closely held businesses in Hawai`i. Mike holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a minor in Computer Science, from Oregon State University. For the past eight years, he has been the Manager and CFO for Hawaiian Rainbows Business Development, LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates. From 1994 to 1999, Mike served as Vice President of Hawai`i’s Business Banking Center for the island of Hawai`i. Mike’s community activities presently include: Trustee & Immediate Past Chair, Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection of the Supreme Court of Hawai`i, President-elect of the National Client Protection Organization, past Treasurer, Director and President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawai`i. As board member of the following organizations, Mike served as a community advocate for the Hawai`i Island Economic Development Board, Hawai`i Island Chamber of Commerce, Hawai`i YMCA, Hawai`i Island Corrections Advisory Council, Big Island Business Council, UH Hilo School of Business Advisory Council, and Hawai`i Island United Way. Mike was also a past board member for VAC and now serves as Treasurer.
