Anne Lee has a background in Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences, (B.Sc. McGill University; M.Sc.UQAM). Anne has worked extensively as a scientific researcher and published author of epidemiological exposure and environmental impact studies and assessment for both the public and private sectors (INSERM, CINBIOSE, Jouveinal) in Canada and France. She also served as a curriculum and content consultant for environmental education groups, Nomad Scientists and Scientifines, directed at primary & secondary schools with an emphasis on encouraging girls to pursue science as a career option. Determined to help fill the void on television networks, for the past ten years, Anne shifted her focus from research to educating the public through informative and thought provoking documentaries and is codeveloper, writer, producer, editor, scientific consultant and voice talent for DHDTV. net, an internetbased documentary and radio network. Subject matter ranges from artistic, scientific and spiritual. Anne's present focus is on developing alternative energies, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable stewardship of planet Earth. Anne is co-founder of The Volcano Project (TVP), a local non profit 501c3, which is currently bidding on the Volcano House concession in Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park. TVP's vision is to transform the Volcano House into a dynamic venue for sustainable tourism, reflective of its role as ambassador of aWorld Heritage Site to an international audience, and provide educational and job training opportunities in the hospitality and culinary arts. TVP is guided by the philosophy that community based economic development is the seed to a prosperous and enlightened future and that access to nature is a universal healer and peacemaker.
